Why use a Content Slider?
Content sliders are a dynamic media opportunity to display your content in a condensed area with a unique visual flair. Using the rotating area saves space on your page, while applying background photos or colors can be a fun, stylized way to break the monotony of a text-heavy page.
Get Ready
- Import your images to the Media Library
- Decide on the format of your slider
- Do you wish to display images or videos?
- Do you wish to display text atop your images or videos?
Anatomy of a Content Slider
Content sliders can take a variety of forms, so understanding the components will help you to create the content slider that best suits your needs
Photo Background with Text
Your slider can simply consist of background images with overlay text, as shown below.
Please note: any photo background will be automatically cropped to fit the shape of the content.
Create a Content Slider with Photos
Navigate to the page on which you wish to place the button
- In the header bar, dwell over Page Editor and select your page
- Click the + icon in the header bar
- Click the Modules tab
- From the Media section, drag & drop Content Slider onto the desired location on your page
- On the Slides tab, you will choose the photos you wish to include in your slider
- Click the Edit Slide link
- Slide Label: This is an internal field used for you to identify the slide in your editor, it will not be displayed on your web-site
- In the Background Layout section, click the Select Photo link.
- Click the Edit Slide link
You can also select to use a video link from YouTube or Vimeo as either the slide background or part of the overlay as shown in the example slides below.
